Kia ora and welcome to my page!

My name is Paice and earlier this year I had the privilege of attending the awesome experience that is the Youth Environmental Leaders Forum (YELF), which is run by the Sir Peter Blake Trust. During the course of YELF, not only did I get to meet some inspiring people and work alongside other passionate students but I also got to grow my knowledge of sustainability and leadership.

My personal passion is science, however I strongly believe that everyone should get the opportunity to pursue their passions and have the chance to make some meaningful change in the world. 

This is exactly what Sir Peter Blake was all about, and the Sir Peter Blake Trust aims to continue his kaupapa and legacy. I want to ensure the Trust can continue to inspire and empower students like me and so for my Red Socks Challenge I am naturally going to be following my passion: science!

For my challenge I will be running a pop-up science workshop in my local area of Helensville(while wearing my red socks of course), where everyone and anyone is welcome to come along and learn some science.

 So where does the 'challenge' part come in? Well we're going to be looking at some pretty tricky topics, however by making the workshop fun, hands-on and engaging, my goal is to keep the whole audience on board and to not leave a single person feeling lost and confused. The workshop will be held in the Kaipara College Hall on Monday the 31st of July starting at 6pm.
