Teaghan Kirby
Story
Hi there!
Sir Peter Blake was one of New Zealand's most inspiring environmentalists and leaders. He was a competitive sailor, a strong leader, but most importantly a man who cared about our environment and by doing so made New Zealanders very proud of him and his lucky red socks!
The Sir Peter Blake Trust is a foundation that is carrying on Blake's legacy in inspiring and informing younger generations on the importance in knowing our environmental issues and ways to combat them.
To help the Trust raise money and awareness I have rallied the community around Whangarei Girls High School to help with the cause. Myself, Tove Petersson, and the rest of our student council, feel that this is an awesome opportunity to give back to the Sir Peter Blake Trust who do so much for our environment and young leadership throughout New Zealand.
We are fundraising by whipping out the whisks and perfecting our baking skills by running a bake sale through school. The whole student council and any other willing members are also supporting the cause by participating in and getting sponsored/ donations to do the "day of silence challenge" which will be no easy thing to give up as we are a large group of very chatty girls!
Any donation or support of any kind would be much appreciated
Thank you very much for any support!
